Full Calendar Holidays and Observances in May to Enjoy
May is a fantastic month packed with exciting activities. KnowInsiders has compiled a list of holidays and observances that will take place in the month of May this year so that you may prepare ahead of time.
Although June’s first day is the official start of summer, it certainly feels that way in May. Summer vacation begins, high school and college graduates are awarded their diplomas, and mother figures enjoy some time in the sun.
It has numerous entertaining and interesting holidays to mark, many of them feature the delights of eating. There are certain to be a few May holidays that will interest just about everyone in your family because they focus on a variety of specific interests.
On May 6, National Fitness Day, get your body moving with a fun workout, and on May 17, World Hypertension Day, make sure to check your blood pressure.
Let’s not overlook Mother’s Day, which falls on May 14. Give gifts they’ll adore to all the women in your life, from stepmothers to new mothers.
Unusual celebrations like National Burger Day (May 28) and National Mint Julep Day (May 30) have to be included as well, of course.
Also, keep in mind that May doesn’t actually end on Memorial Day; instead, it ends on May 31.
